Organic
What It Is
Organic orange peel comes from the outer rind of Citrus sinensis. Once the fruit is harvested, the peel is carefully dried and finely ground into a soft botanical powder that has been valued in traditional skincare for centuries. Naturally rich in flavonoids, polyphenols, and aromatic compounds, orange peel brings together gentle exfoliation, refreshing botanical character, and antioxidant-rich plant compounds in one simple ingredient. (Rodrigues et al., 2024)
Why We Love It
Organic orange peel has long been used to help refresh the skin through gentle exfoliation. Its fine botanical texture helps buff away dry, dull surface skin, leaving the skin feeling smoother, softer, and refreshed without the harshness of synthetic exfoliants.
Beyond its physical exfoliating properties, orange peel naturally contains flavonoids such as hesperidin, along with other polyphenols that are recognized for their antioxidant activity. (Rodrigues et al., 2024) These compounds are more stable than vitamin C and are among the naturally occurring plant constituents that may remain present even after drying and saponification, contributing to the botanical richness of the finished product.
Simple ingredients often have the most to offer. Organic orange peel brings together gentle exfoliation, naturally occurring plant compounds, and a refreshing citrus character in a way that feels both timeless and purposeful.
