Instead of using harsh makeup-removing wipes with chemicals, I use this oil all over my face (even on my stubborn, waterproof mascara). I let it sit for a moment or two, and then I lay a hot washcloth across my face to allow the oils to really soak into my skin. After that, I wipe it off, and my makeup is gone, and my skin has gotten a lot of extra love in the process!”

Radiance looks simple because it only has three ingredients, but that is exactly why I love it.
I did not want a facial oil that was padded with cheaper filler oils, fragrance, essential oils, or a long list of ingredients that made the formula look impressive without actually making sense for sensitive skin. I wanted something lightweight enough for daily use, rich enough to feel nourishing, and thoughtful enough for acne-prone or easily overwhelmed skin.
The three oils in Radiance were chosen because each one brings something different. Cold-pressed carrot seed oil gives the formula its golden, carotenoid-rich character. Black raspberry seed oil brings a beautiful fatty acid profile, including linoleic and alpha-linolenic acids, along with antioxidant compounds like tocopherols and carotenoids. Black seed oil brings the deep, traditional, research-heavy side of the formula, especially because Nigella sativa is known for thymoquinone, one of its most studied bioactive compounds.
I also wanted Radiance to be the kind of oil that could fit into real life. It is light enough to wear under makeup when used sparingly, helpful as the oil step in a gentle makeup-removing routine, and beautiful after Revive Face Mask or before a tiny amount of balm. It gives skin a soft, cared-for look without feeling like you coated your face in something heavy.
There is interesting research around certain plant oils, including raspberry seed and carrot seed oils, and their relationship to UV absorption and photoprotective activity. I think that is worth educating about, but I want to be very clear: Radiance is not a sunscreen, does not have an SPF rating, and should not be used as a replacement for broad-spectrum sunscreen, shade, hats, or other sun protection. I think of it as an antioxidant-rich facial oil that layers beautifully on sunny days, not a product that prevents sunburn or treats sun damage.
Radiance is not meant to treat acne, eczema, rosacea, melasma, sunburn, hyperpigmentation, wounds, inflammation, or any medical skin condition. It is a simple, concentrated facial oil made to moisturize, soften, support the look of balanced skin, and bring genuinely interesting plant chemistry into a daily routine without unnecessary extras.
- Made with only three cold-pressed oils, with no filler oils or unnecessary extras
- Lightweight enough for daily facial use and under-makeup routines when applied sparingly
- Non-comedogenic formula designed for acne-prone, sensitive, dry, dull, or combination skin routines
- Uses cold-pressed carrot seed oil for carotenoid-rich, golden plant chemistry
- Uses black raspberry seed oil for omega fatty acids, tocopherols, carotenoids, and antioxidant-rich skin nourishment
- Uses black seed oil, also called Nigella sativa, for thymoquinone-rich traditional skin-care history and modern research interest
- Works as a daily face oil, post-mask oil, light makeup-prep oil, or first step in an oil-cleansing routine
- Made without essential oils, synthetic fragrance, fragrance oil, or common hormone-disrupting ingredients
- Made in small batches in Houston, Texas
As a Daily Facial Oil
Apply 1 to 3 drops to clean, slightly damp skin. Press gently into the face and neck instead of rubbing aggressively. Start with less than you think you need, especially if you are new to facial oils.
Under Makeup
Use 1 drop, press it into damp skin, and allow it to absorb before applying makeup. Radiance is lightweight, but using too much oil before makeup can make products slip, so a thin layer works best.
After Masking
Apply after Revive Face Mask while the skin is still slightly damp. This helps the oil spread evenly and gives the skin a soft, fresh-looking finish.
With Balm
For dry skin, apply Radiance first and follow with a tiny amount of Rosebud Tallow Balm or another gentle balm to seal in moisture.
As an Oil-Cleansing Step
Massage several drops onto dry skin to loosen makeup, sunscreen, or daily buildup. Lay a warm, damp washcloth over the face for a moment, then gently wipe away. Follow with a gentle cleanser if desired.
- Cold-Pressed Organic Carrot Seed Oil: This is a cold-pressed seed oil, not carrot seed essential oil. I chose it because carrot seed oil is rich in carotenoid-associated plant chemistry and has a beautiful golden character that makes sense in a facial oil for dull-looking or tired-looking skin. Carrot-derived oils are often discussed in cosmetic research around antioxidant activity, skin aging, and photoprotective potential, but I do not use that to claim Radiance is a sunscreen. In this formula, carrot seed oil brings lightweight nourishment, antioxidant-rich plant compounds, and that soft, healthy-looking glow I wanted from the beginning.
- Cold-Pressed Organic Black Raspberry Seed Oil: Black raspberry seed oil is one of the reasons Radiance feels more thoughtful than a basic face oil. Raspberry seed oils are known for a fatty acid profile that includes linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, along with tocopherols, carotenoids, and other antioxidant compounds. Research and ingredient literature often discuss raspberry seed oil in the context of UV absorption and photoprotective activity, but Radiance is not SPF-rated and should never replace sunscreen. I use black raspberry seed oil because it is lightweight, elegant, antioxidant-rich, and especially beautiful for sensitive, acne-prone, and sunny-day skincare routines.
- Cold-Pressed Organic Black Seed Oil: Black seed oil, also called Nigella sativa or black cumin seed oil, is the deeply underrated part of this formula. It has a long history in traditional care and is studied for compounds such as thymoquinone, thymohydroquinone, nigellone, essential fatty acids, and antioxidant activity. Topical Nigella sativa research has explored acne-prone skin, microbial balance, oxidative stress, and visible skin comfort, which is exactly why I find it so interesting for a facial oil. Radiance is not an acne treatment or a medical product, but black seed oil gives the formula a serious, research-heavy backbone for skin that needs lightweight nourishment without a lot of unnecessary extras.

Texture Note
Radiance is a lightweight facial oil, but it is still concentrated. A few drops are enough for most faces. Using too much may feel oily, especially under makeup.
Scent Note
Radiance has a natural earthy, seed-like aroma from the cold-pressed oils themselves. It does not contain essential oils, synthetic fragrance, fragrance oil, or hidden scent blends.
Color Note
Carrot seed and black seed oils may give Radiance a naturally golden tone. This can vary slightly from batch to batch because the formula is made with real cold-pressed oils.
Sun Note
Radiance is not a sunscreen and does not have an SPF rating. It should not be used to prevent sunburn or replace broad-spectrum sunscreen, protective clothing, hats, shade, or wise sun habits. It can be used as an antioxidant-rich facial oil under makeup or alongside proper sun protection.
Acne-Prone Skin Note
Radiance was formulated with acne-prone skin routines in mind, but everyone’s skin is different. Patch test first and begin with 1 drop every other day if your skin is reactive or easily congested.
Patch Test
Patch test before full facial use, especially if your skin is sensitive, reactive, acne-prone, or easily flushed. Avoid applying to broken skin, open wounds, mucous membranes, or areas that are actively irritated.
Shelf Life
Best used within 9 to 12 months of opening. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat, sunlight, and humidity. Keep the dropper clean and avoid touching it directly to the skin.
What is Radiance Facial Oil?
Radiance Facial Oil is a minimal, cold-pressed facial oil made with organic carrot seed oil, black raspberry seed oil, and black seed oil. It is made for dry-feeling skin, dull-looking skin, sensitive skin routines, and people who want a face oil without essential oils or synthetic fragrance.
Is carrot seed oil the same as carrot seed essential oil?
No. Radiance uses cold-pressed carrot seed carrier oil, not carrot seed essential oil. Carrier oils contain fatty acids and oil-soluble compounds, while essential oils are concentrated volatile aromatic extracts.
Is Radiance good for acne-prone skin?
Radiance can fit some acne-prone routines when used sparingly, but it is not an acne treatment. Start with one drop, patch test first, and use less than you think you need.
Why use black raspberry seed oil?
Black raspberry seed oil contains essential fatty acids, tocopherols, tocotrienols, carotenoids, and antioxidant-associated compounds. It gives Radiance a richer botanical oil profile than a basic facial oil.
Why use black seed oil?
Black seed oil, also known as Nigella sativa oil, is known for thymoquinone and its long history of topical use. In Radiance, it is used cosmetically for skin-conditioning and botanical depth, not as a treatment ingredient.
How much should I use?
Use 1 to 3 drops on slightly damp skin. If your skin is oily, acne-prone, or easily congested, start with one drop or use Radiance only at night.
Is Radiance Facial Oil non-comedogenic?
Radiance was formulated as a lightweight, non-comedogenic facial oil for acne-prone, sensitive, dry, dull, or combination skin routines. Every skin is different, so patch testing is still important, especially if your skin is easily congested.
Can acne-prone skin use face oil?
Yes, many acne-prone skin routines can include facial oil when the formula is lightweight and used sparingly. Radiance is not intended to treat acne, but it was made for people who want moisture and a healthy-looking glow without heavy filler oils, essential oils, or synthetic fragrance.
Does Radiance treat acne?
No. Radiance is not an acne treatment and is not intended to treat acne, breakouts, inflammation, infection, or any medical skin condition. Black seed oil has interesting topical research around acne-prone skin and compounds like thymoquinone, but Radiance is a cosmetic facial oil for moisture, softness, and daily skin nourishment.
Can I use Radiance under makeup?
Yes. Radiance is lightweight enough to use under makeup when applied sparingly. Use 1 drop on slightly damp skin, press it in well, and give it a few minutes to absorb before applying makeup.
Is Radiance a sunscreen?
No. Radiance is not a sunscreen, does not have an SPF rating, and should not be used to prevent sunburn or replace broad-spectrum sunscreen. Some plant oils, including raspberry seed and carrot seed oils, are discussed in research around UV absorption and photoprotective activity, but that does not make this product a sunscreen.
Can I use Radiance on sunny days?
Yes, Radiance can be used as an antioxidant-rich facial oil on sunny days, especially under makeup or alongside proper sun protection. It should be layered with broad-spectrum sunscreen, hats, shade, and wise sun habits when you will be outdoors.
Does Radiance contain essential oils?
No. Radiance contains no essential oils, no synthetic fragrance, no fragrance oil, and no hidden scent blends. The natural scent comes only from the cold-pressed oils themselves.
Can I use Radiance as an oil cleanser?
Yes. Radiance can be used as the oil step in a gentle oil-cleansing routine. Massage several drops onto dry skin, let it loosen makeup or daily buildup, then remove with a warm, damp washcloth. Follow with a gentle cleanser if desired.
Can men use Radiance?
Yes. Radiance works well for men who want a lightweight facial oil without cologne-like fragrance, essential oils, or a greasy finish. It can be used after shaving if the skin tolerates it, but avoid applying it to broken or irritated skin.
How much Radiance should I use?
Start with 1 to 3 drops. For oily or acne-prone skin, begin with 1 drop on damp skin. For dry skin, use 2 to 3 drops and follow with a small amount of balm if needed.
Can I use Radiance every day?
Yes, Radiance can be used daily if your skin tolerates it. If you are acne-prone or sensitive, start every other day and increase slowly based on how your skin responds.

Radiance Face Oil
Looking for a non-comedogenic face oil for acne-prone skin, sensitive skin, or under makeup?
Many people search for things like “face oil for sensitive skin,” “face oil for acne-prone skin,” “non-essential oil face oil,” “carrot seed face oil,” “black raspberry seed oil for skin,” “black seed oil face oil,” or “lightweight facial oil” because they want moisture and glow without a heavy cream or fragranced serum.
Radiance is made with three cold-pressed oils: carrot seed oil, black raspberry seed oil, and black seed oil. Carrot seed oil gives the formula a golden lipid base. Black raspberry seed oil contributes essential fatty acids, tocopherols, tocotrienols, carotenoids, and antioxidant-associated compounds. Black seed oil brings Nigella sativa chemistry, including thymoquinone.
Radiance is not an acne treatment, scar treatment, pigmentation treatment, or anti-aging drug. It is a minimal facial oil for soft, nourished-looking skin, dull-looking skin, dry-feeling skin, and sensitive routines that do best with simple formulas.

The facial oil is amazing! My skin is ultra sensitive and dry now that I am approaching 50. It was always oily before. This formula is nourishing to my skin and it doesn’t cause breakouts. my skin feels amazing and it calms the dryness. I am grateful to have found this product! I highly recommend.
Radiance oil has multiple uses–morning moisturizer or night cream, a natural alternative/help to sunscreen–but my favorite use is as part of my two-step cleaning routine.
